Walk with us trough beautiful cloud forest filling up your lungs with the purest air possible, admire the great diversity of this forest as you go on jungle walks once this trip takes you to the foothills of this pristine natural area, our trip starts in Cusco from where we drive over the mountains to reach this magical spot as well as traveling along the gorgeous Upper Madre de Dios River.
Program itinerary
Day 1: Cusco-Cock of the rock Lodge
Early departure, scenic drive on a dirt road towards the Manu National Park, passing trough several Andean communities like the idyllic colonial town of Paucartambo, famous for its Virgin of Carmen July celebration. Our destination is the cloud forest of Manu. Arrival to our comfortable lodge at middle afternoon. Overnight at Cock of the Rock Lodge.(Box-lunch, D)

Day 2: Cock of the rock Lodge
Morning visit to nearby Lek to admire the beautiful national bird of Peru the Cock of the Rock several handsome males congregate at this spot to carry-on on their morning ritual mating display, males gather during the breeding season to surprise the timid females with their bizarre vocalization and display, this is for sure an excellent spot if you want to take awesome pcitures.Rest of morning cloud forest exploration.Night walk to look for toads and frogs.Overnight at Cock of the Rock Lodge.(B, L, D)

Day 3: Cock of the rock Lodge-Amazonia Lodge
Breakfast, mid-morning drive to Atalaya(around 3 hours) where our boat crew will be awaiting our arrival to take us on a pleasant boat trip down the upper Mother of God River to reach our second inn the Amazonia Lodge, this lodge strategically located on the foothills, gives us the opportunity to explore this fascinating ecotone, where 6 species of monkeys are found, hundreds of birds species and the tranquility of the forest.Overnigt at Amazonia Lodge.(B, L, D)

Day 4: Amazonia Lodge
Breakfast, today we will have the opportunity to explore some of the 14 miles of trails around lodge, with great chances to find primates, peccaries and lots of birds. Overnight at Amazonia Lodge.(B, L, D)
